Synopsis: Frankenstein Father is one of the most original Korean indie films in recent years, tackling themes such as fatherhood, scientific ethics, and self-deception. The story revolves around Chi-sung, a strict and controlling doctor, whose life is turned upside down when Young-jae, a rebellious teenager, appears claiming to be the result of an illegal sperm donation made by him 17 years earlier. Demanding compensation for the "genetic defects" inherited, Young-jae threatens to expose the doctor. What unfolds is a tense and ironic confrontation about genetic and emotional responsibility, as Chi-sung begins to recognize traits of himself in the boy. The film is a provocative and satirical drama about blood ties, guilt, and identity.
